The Disability Confident employer scheme provides information about employing disabled individuals and how the scheme can assist businesses in doing so. The scheme is managed by the Department for Work and Pensions.

Disability Confident aims to create a movement of change, urging employers to reconsider their perceptions about disability and take proactive steps to enhance the recruitment, retention, and development of disabled individuals.

Engaging with the scheme offers businesses a unique opportunity to be leaders in their communities. It can also help businesses discover invaluable talent they might have otherwise overlooked.

The scheme was co-developed by employers and representatives of disabled people to ensure it's rigorous yet accessible, especially for smaller businesses.
