Join your peers across Oxfordshire who are making positive changes so that Oxfordshire's economy works for everyone.
When you actively support inclusivity across Oxfordshire's economy you will generate real benefits for your organisation.
Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) factors are increasingly being considered by employees, customers, funders, investors, and partners. Participating in the work of the Oxfordshire Inclusive Economy Partnership, through the pledges you make within this Charter, provides a way of demonstrating your commitment to social issues:
• Promoting your role in Oxfordshire's inclusive economy work will help you to attract people to work with you.
• Accessing the widest pool of talent will support growth and productivity within your company or organisation.
• Purchasing from local suppliers and supporting your staff to undertake volunteering activities within the community will contribute to well-being and a sense of loyalty among your employees, differentiating your organisation from competitors.
"Each year, ODS strengthens and delivers more and more value for local communities. We have signed the Oxfordshire Inclusive Economy Partnership Charter as a statement of our commitment to creating a more inclusive local economy, and of our shared ambitions with other organisations across the county."
"By committing to the Charter pledges, we have been able to benefit from both progressing initiatives that were underway – such as launching our Employee Volunteering policy – as well as identifying new initiatives – such as donating our unused apprenticeship levy. The OIEP team has been fantastic in enabling peer-to-peer learning, sharing resources, and connecting us with local organisations. For any Oxfordshire-based organisations that have yet to – we highly recommend getting involved and signing the Charter!"
Since signing the OIEP charter, CBRE have introduced an initiative to support flexible working so employees can volunteer. For example, one of their team now volunteers every Tuesday at a local primary school with the ARCh - Assisted Reading For Children Oxfordshire programme. She commits to assist three children to improve their reading, helping to improve their educational attainment.A great benefit of OIEP charter membership is that organisations can work together like this, making connections and sharing resources. ARCh is also a member of the OIEP, helping to deliver our educational attainment objective.
